Furthermore, his 19 appearances in the third round place him above Roger Federer, setting a new record in the Open Era.\n\nAlthough this record is not the most prestigious for Djokovic, who holds 24 Grand Slam titles, including seven at Wimbledon, it allows him to joke about his young rivals.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Nineteen times, it&#8217;s a great statistic. It&#8217;s probably almost the number of years Sinner and Alcaraz have in their lives.<\/p><cite>Novak Djokovic<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nDjokovic, at 38 years old, referred to Carlos Alcaraz, who defeated him in the last two Wimbledon finals, and Jannik Sinner, the world number one, who are 22 and 23 years old respectively.\n\nThe growing rivalry between Sinner and Alcaraz, especially after their final at Roland Garros, has propelled tennis beyond the era of the &#8220;Big Three.&#8221; Djokovic is the only one still active, following the retirement of Federer and Nadal.\n\nDjokovic, focused on winning another Grand Slam, doesn&#8217;t stop to reflect on his achievements at Wimbledon.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I don&#8217;t take breaks to reflect, to be honest. I don&#8217;t have time. I would like to, but I think that will come when I leave the racket and then have a margarita on the beach with Federer and Nadal and reflect on our rivalry and everything.<\/p><cite>Novak Djokovic<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nIn the match against Evans, Djokovic failed to convert his first nine break points in the first set.
