Altuve Rises in Astros History: Surpasses Bagwell in Hits<\/h2>\n\nIn a day that will be etched in the memory of fans, Jos\u00e9 Altuve solidified his legend with the Houston Astros. The Venezuelan second baseman surpassed Jeff Bagwell, a Hall of Famer, on the franchise’s all-time hits list, reaching second place.\n\nThe milestone occurred this Wednesday at Coors Field, during the 5-3 victory over the Rockies. Altuve hit his number 2,315 hit, a hit that not only broke the tie on the scoreboard, but also drove in two crucial runs for the victory.\n\nAltuve connected a solid single to center field in the sixth inning, against reliever Jake Bird. With this hit, he left Bagwell (2,314 hits) behind and now only has Craig Biggio (3,060) ahead of him, another icon of the organization.\n\n\n
