The judges ruled the scores 99-91, 97-93 and 98-92.\n\nPaul (12-1, 7 KOs) extends his winning streak to six fights, following his split-decision loss to Tommy Fury in February 2023. Previously, Paul had defeated Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in November.\n\nCh\u00e1vez (54-7-1, 34 KOs), former WBC middleweight world champion, won the title with a majority decision victory against Sebastian Zbik in June 2011, successfully defending it three times. This was Ch\u00e1vez&#8217;s third consecutive cruiserweight fight.\n\nThe fight had important implications for Paul. A victory over Ch\u00e1vez could mean his entry into the WBC ranking in the 200-pound category, bringing him closer to his goal of fighting for a world title.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The WBC&#8217;s classification committee has been following Jake Paul&#8217;s career.
