The Leones del Escogido have made a strategic move in their pitching staff by acquiring experienced right-handed pitcher Dinelson Lamet from the \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as. As part of the deal, the scarlet organization has traded left-handed reliever G\u00e9nesis Cabrera, who will be part of the Cibao team from now on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lamet, 34, a native of Santiago de los Caballeros, brings a valuable track record of seven seasons in Major League Baseball. Throughout his time in U.S. baseball, where he played for teams such as the San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies, Boston Red Sox, and Los Angeles Dodgers, he recorded a 17-24 record with a 4.63 ERA and 474 strikeouts in 367.2 innings pitched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Versatility and experience for the red mound<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the two most recent seasons, the right-hander has maintained his competitive pace in the Mexican Baseball League with El \u00c1guila de Veracruz, managing to accumulate eight wins and 136 strikeouts in 137.1 innings of work, keeping opposing batters to a .240 average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
