Free agent guard Ty Jerome has reached an agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies for three years and $28 million, according to sources close to the negotiations.<\/p>\n
The agreement, negotiated by Kieran Piller and Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports, includes a player option in the third year.<\/p>\n
Jerome, 28, had a standout season off the bench last year, surpassing his career highs. He averaged 12.5 points and 3.4 assists, with 51.6% field goal efficiency and an impressive 43.9% from the three-point line.<\/p>\n
He was one of six players with at least 800 points off the bench last season, and his five 25-point-or-more games coming off the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers tied him for third in the NBA.<\/p>\n
Jerome’s rise mirrored Cleveland’s improvement in their quest for the title, with a dominant 64-win season. He was one of many Cavs players who had a career year in terms of shooting, and his ability to create plays off the dribble helped make Cleveland the league’s most dangerous offense last season.<\/p>\n
