The situation, which has caused long lines at gas stations and logistical difficulties in various regions, is a direct consequence of recent attacks on strategic refineries, added to unscheduled technical shutdowns at key processing plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a brief stabilization during the summer, the outlook became complex again in August. The data reflect a drastic drop in the availability of refined products: by the middle of the month, barely 28.1% of gas stations had total reserves, a figure significantly lower than the 41% recorded just seven days earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A problem that reaches urban centers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Shortages are no longer a phenomenon exclusive to peripheral areas. In Moscow and its surroundings, motorists are facing difficulties finding 92, 95, and 98 octane gasoline, as well as an intermittent supply of diesel. This reality was confirmed after an inspection of points of sale in the capital, where it was noted that the lack of supply is a growing concern even at the epicenter of national consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev has publicly admitted the existence of queues at gas stations, assuring that the Russian government is working intensively on corrective measures to normalize domestic supply.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Emergency measures and government response<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To mitigate the crisis, the authorities have implemented a series of strategic actions, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Temporary authorization for the sale of lower environmental standard fuels, such as Euro-2.<\/li>\n<li>Strict restriction of diesel exports to prioritize the domestic market.<\/li>\n<li>Increased regulatory pressure through the Federal Antimonopoly Service, which has initiated dozens of proceedings against oil companies and traders for alleged irregularities.<\/li>\n<li>Exploration of international imports to compensate for the local production deficit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, internal logistics remain an obstacle. Regions such as Orenburg, Lipetsk, Tver, Oryol, Tuva, Khakassia, as well as the territories of Krasnodar, Zabaykalsky, Primorsky, and Krasnoyarsk, have reported the greatest supply problems.
