The Northeast Regional Directorate of the National Police has reported the arrest of two construction workers, who are under investigation for their alleged involvement in the theft of fuel within the Circunvalaci\u00f3n project in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n
The individuals involved, identified as Sandy Gonz\u00e1lez, 51, and Elmer Ismael Polanco Fern\u00e1ndez, 35, were apprehended following a rapid intervention by local authorities.<\/p>\n\n
The operation originated on the night of August 17th, after receiving a report from the construction site security manager, Luis Alberto Morales, who alerted about the theft of diesel fuel. A police unit, led by First Lieutenant Carlos V\u00e1zquez Morales, intercepted the suspects while they were traveling in a white Mazda vehicle along the main street of G\u00e9nimo, in the vicinity of the Las Guamas sector.<\/p>\n\n
