The Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED) is intensifying urban renewal efforts in the Los Praditos sector, currently focusing its efforts on streets 9 and 11. This infrastructure project, which seeks to optimize mobility and improve the quality of life for residents, is scheduled to complete its first phase by the month of September.<\/p>\n\n
Minister V\u00edctor -Ito- Bison\u00f3 conducted a supervisory tour of the intervened areas, highlighting the significant progress achieved in just five months of execution. The project is not limited to road expansion, but encompasses a comprehensive intervention that includes basic services, sidewalks, lighting, and facade beautification.<\/p>\n\n
Just five months ago we began this process and today we can already walk through wider and more connected streets and see how a transformation that goes far beyond mobility is taking shape. Work details and service improvements<\/h3>\n\n\n

- Sanitary sewer:<\/strong> Work is underway on the installation of pipes and manholes for wastewater, an essential service that the area did not previously have.<\/li>\n
- Road infrastructure:<\/strong> 80% progress is reported in the pouring of curbs and the start of the construction of new sidewalks.<\/li>\n
- Lighting:<\/strong> Five new poles have already been installed and the electrical wiring has been completed for greater safety.<\/li>\n
- Urban art:<\/strong> The artist Modafoca is leading the creation of murals on the facades, integrating art as part of the identity and recovery of public space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
Next stages and community vision<\/h3>\n\n
The intervention on 9th and 11th streets is key to improving the road connection from Olof Palme Avenue towards Heriberto N\u00fa\u00f1ez Street, facilitating traffic in and out of the sector. In parallel, the MIVHED is advancing the necessary negotiations to begin the widening and extension of 6th Street.<\/p>\n\n
The comprehensive plan, called “Los Praditos Connects,” also includes the creation of green areas, linear parks, children’s play areas, and public parking.
