The renowned businessman and communicator Santiago Matías, popularly known as Alofoke, marks a milestone in his career by taking his first formal step into the political arena. This Sunday, August 16, Matías will lead a momentous event in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, with the goal of initiating the collection of signatures necessary to achieve official recognition of the “Dominicanos Primero” organization as a political party before the electoral authorities.

The choice of date is no coincidence, as it coincides with the 163rd anniversary of the Restoration of the Republic, a symbolism that the work team wanted to highlight to present this new stage of their project. The event is scheduled for 9:00 in the morning, with the meeting point being the Padres Las Casas marginal avenue, in the vicinity of the Central Park of Santiago.

The decision to start in the Cibao region responds to a national expansion strategy, with Santiago being the province chosen to begin the recruitment of signatures. According to the promoters, this process will be carried out with total transparency, inviting supporters and interested citizens to witness every phase of the formation of the political structure.

Innovation and “political reality” format

One of the most distinctive aspects of this initiative is its format. The project will be documented as a “political reality show,” allowing the audience to observe up close the challenges and progress involved in creating a new organization from the ground up. This approach seeks to connect with a young, digital-native audience, leveraging Matías’s vast experience in communication platforms.

- The activity will be broadcast live through the Alofoke Radio Show YouTube channel.

- The event seeks to comply with the legal requirements for the recognition of new political organizations.

- The call is open to followers and citizens who wish to learn about the proposal up close.

With this incursion, Santiago Matías shifts his influence and mobilization capacity from the media sector to the national political arena, consolidating Santiago de los Caballeros as the launchpad for a project that aims to directly influence the country’s political landscape.
