A growing concern grips the residents of Doctor Velásquez Street, in the municipality of Pedro Brand, due to the alarming accumulation of solid waste that is affecting the hygiene and environment of their community. Neighbors have raised their voices to request urgent intervention from municipal authorities, seeking to curb the sanitary deterioration of the area.

Although residents acknowledge that the collection truck makes daily routes through the municipality, they report that the service’s operation is deficient. As they explain, the vehicle is limited exclusively to traveling along the main avenue, ignoring door-to-door collection, which leaves the internal streets in a vulnerable situation.

This incomplete management has caused waste to concentrate in critical points, generating sources of pollution, persistent bad odors, and an image of neglect that affects the well-being of all inhabitants. The community emphasizes that this problem is not isolated, adding to the constant complaints from other sectors of Pedro Brand that also feel neglected in terms of public services.

Community members hope that a more effective collection mechanism will be established to serve households directly and prevent trash from continuing to affect the quality of life of those who reside in the sector.

The call to the authorities

Given this situation, the call to the mayor’s office is clear: expand the coverage of the cleaning service and carry out sanitation drives on Doctor Velásquez street. Those affected insist on the need for an inclusive collection system that guarantees public health and the territorial planning of the municipality.
