With the issuance of 201 permits in a single month, the institution reaffirms the dynamism that the real estate and infrastructure sector is experiencing in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the leadership of Minister Ito Bison\u00f3, the MIVHED has achieved an 85% year-on-year growth in the issuance of licenses. Between January and July 2026, a total of 1,122 permits were granted, far exceeding the 605 registered in the same period of the previous year. It is important to highlight that, in just seven months, the entity has already surpassed the total of 953 licenses issued during all of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>These results reflect an institution with a greater capacity to manage and respond, always maintaining the technical rigor that each project requires.<\/p><cite>Ito Bison\u00f3, Minister of MIVHED<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Economic impact and institutional modernization<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This increase in permitting not only reflects administrative efficiency, but also translates into a direct economic impact. The projects authorized between January and July 2026 represent an estimated investment of RD$406.715 billion, which represents a year-on-year growth of 171% compared to the RD$150.163 billion recorded in the same period of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>July investment:<\/strong> More than RD$76.524 billion in authorized projects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Job creation:<\/strong> An estimated 56,684 direct jobs linked to the July licenses.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Geographic distribution:<\/strong> Santo Domingo led with 103 licenses, followed by Santiago (43), Punta Cana (41), and San Francisco de Macor\u00eds (14).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Bison\u00f3 attributes these advances to a profound process of modernization and standardization. The institutional strategy focuses on improving traceability and transparency, ensuring that the streamlining of processes does not compromise the safety or technical quality of the buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Evolution in the monthly average<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The operational capacity of MIVHED has shown a significant upward trend.
