The rector of ITLA, Jimmy Rosario Bernard, detailed that the call reached a record figure of 40,654 applications. Of this total, 36,225 continuing education scholarships were awarded, managing to serve 89% of the applicants, which constitutes an unprecedented event for the academic institution.<\/p>\n\n
Strategic training areas<\/h3>\n\n
The awarded programs are designed to respond to the current high labor demand and foster the country’s digital transformation. Among the areas of study are:<\/p>\n\n\n
- Artificial intelligence and data science.<\/li>
- Cybersecurity and information networks.<\/li>
- Software development and digital marketing.<\/li>
- Graphic design and languages.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n
Inclusion and STEM focus<\/h3>\n\n
The program places special emphasis on STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Industry 4.0. A highlight of this edition is the gender focus: 51.3% of the scholarships were awarded to women, promoting their active participation in technological sectors of high strategic value for the national economy.<\/p>\n\n
