The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) held an emotional posthumous tribute at its National House to bid farewell to Andr\u00e9s \u201cLicho\u201d Matos, a prominent communicator, former deputy, and key figure of the political organization. The event was attended by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, who joined the leadership and family members to honor his memory.<\/p>\n\n
Matos’ remains were transferred to the party headquarters after fulfilling a funeral honors protocol at the National Congress and the National District City Hall, spaces where various public figures highlighted his impeccable trajectory and vocation for service.<\/p>\n\n

During his speech, Deligne Ascenci\u00f3n stressed that the party is not only losing a leader, but an exemplary citizen who dedicated his life to institutional strengthening. Ascenci\u00f3n recalled that Matos was the first national secretary of Communications for the PRM, an area he consolidated from the organization’s beginnings.<\/p>\n\n
