In a day filled with emotions, the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) held its ordinary commencement ceremony, graduating 716 new professionals who are now joining the country’s labor market. The Aula Magna was the setting where the graduates celebrated the culmination of years of academic effort and personal dedication.<\/p>\n\n
The event was presided over by Dr. Jorge Asjana David, rector of the academy, accompanied by the members of the University Council. During his speech, the rector highlighted the importance of education as the main engine for social mobility and the progress of the nation.<\/p>\n\n

Voices of the graduates<\/h3>\n\n
For the new professionals, this degree represents the culmination of a path full of challenges. Loamy Valdez, an Education graduate, highlighted that this achievement is the result of perseverance and the constant support of her family, while Marielba Candelario, who graduated in Bioanalysis, described the process as a difficult but extremely rewarding path upon seeing her goal achieved.<\/p>\n\n
For her part, Yalani Luciano, a graduate in Early Childhood Education, is already planning her next academic steps. Luciano expressed her intention to continue specializing through master’s degree studies to further strengthen her professional competencies.<\/p>\n\n
Distribution of new professionals<\/h3>\n\n
The UASD detailed that the faculty with the highest number of graduates in this commencement was the Faculty of Education Sciences, leading the list with 326 professionals. It is followed by the faculties of Legal and Political Sciences with 106, and Humanities with 101 new graduates.<\/p>\n\n
In the framework of the commemoration of the 1863 Restoration War, Rector Asjana David made a special call to the graduates, urging them to become the new restorers of the sustainable development of the Dominican Republic, assuming their role with ethics and social commitment.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
