Despite this installed capacity, Santos acknowledged that the sector still faces significant challenges in improving service quality and meeting the population’s expectations. According to the head of Energy and Mines, the current administration maintains a firm commitment to strengthening electrical infrastructure to ensure a more efficient and reliable supply for all Dominicans.<\/p>\n\n

Adapting to new consumer needs<\/h2>\n\n
During his statements, the minister emphasized that the authorities’ priority is to improve the user experience, noting that the demands of the citizenry have evolved significantly. In this sense, he stressed that it is the responsibility of institutions to adapt to these new realities in order to offer effective solutions.<\/p>\n\n
When questioned about the service interruptions, Santos attributed some of the recently recorded issues to the overloading of transformers, a technical aspect that the Government seeks to address as a priority.<\/p>\n\n\n
