The file will be sent to the Seventh Instruction Court, under the supervision of magistrate Deiby Timoteo Peguero, who must notify the involved parties and convene a hearing to decide on this additional deadline.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Process details and the accused<\/h2>\n\n<p>The case, which has captured public attention due to the magnitude of the figures involved, maintains various coercive measures for the defendants:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Santiago Hazim, Rafael Luis Mart\u00ednez Hazim, Gustavo Enrique Messina Cruz, Germ\u00e1n Rafael Robles Qui\u00f1ones, and Francisco Iv\u00e1n Minaya P\u00e9rez are serving pretrial detention at the Las Parras Correction and Rehabilitation Center.<\/li><li>Ada Ledesma, Eduardo Read Estrella, Cinty Acosta Senci\u00f3n, and Heidi Mariela Pineda Perdomo are under house arrest.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p>It is relevant to point out that, according to the prosecuting body, several of the defendants currently under house arrest collaborated with the authorities by admitting to the payment of bribes to officials of the health entity, which influenced the variation of their precautionary measures.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The investigation, which covers the period between 2020 and 2025, points to a structure that allegedly defrauded the State of an amount exceeding RD$19 billion.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Charges and scope of the investigation<\/h2>\n\n<p>The crimes charged to this network include collusion of officials, prevarication, criminal association, fraud against the State, embezzlement, money laundering, bribery, and document forgery.
