The minor lost their life after the structure they were in collapsed as a result of the strong seismic movement. According to official reports, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the town of San Jos\u00e9 del Palmar, also in Choc\u00f3, an area that has felt the devastating consequences of this natural disaster with great intensity.<\/p>\n\n
The governor of Choc\u00f3, Nubia Carolina C\u00f3rdoba-Curi, confirmed the news and extended her solidarity to the local leader and his loved ones. The official detailed that, so far, the department has recorded a total of 13 fatalities due to the seismic event.<\/p>\n\n

Nationwide, the death toll has risen to 132 people. The tragedy has deeply affected various regions, highlighting the impact in the Valle del Cauca department, where the death of at least four minors has been confirmed.
