San Francisco Giants Reassign H\u00e9ctor Borg<\/h2>\n\nThe San Francisco Giants announced this Friday the reassignment of Dominican H\u00e9ctor Borg, who leaves his position as third base coach to join the organization’s player development department.\n\nThe decision was communicated before the game against the Colorado Rockies and comes at a delicate moment for the Giants, marked by errors in base running.\n\nIn the interim, Ron Wotus, with vast experience, will take the reins as third base coach while a permanent replacement is sought.\n\nA recent incident that accelerated the change was during the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, where Willy Adames was out at the plate after the signal to advance from third base. San Francisco lost that game 3-2.\n\nBefore Wednesday’s defeat, the Giants had 18 outs on the bases, one of the highest figures in the league this season. In addition, they had been retired seven times at the plate.\n\n\n

I think some of those things need to be reviewed more, both mentally and physically, with repetitions.<\/p>Tony Vitello, Giants Manager<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nH\u00e9ctor Borg has been in the Giants organization for more than two decades. He arrived as an international free agent in 2004 and, after his time as a player in 2008, began his career in development and training in the club’s minor leagues.\n\nThe Dominican joined the Major League coaching staff this season, with the support of general manager Zack Minasian and manager Vitello.\n\n\n
