This event brought together the best fencers in the world.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The participation of our athletes in such a high-level event places them in a privileged position to compete in the upcoming Central American Games Santo Domingo 2026, as they face world-class rivals<\/p><cite>Gilberto Soriano, president of the Dominican Fencing Federation (Fedomes)<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nThe World Cup featured the participation of 169 athletes in the individual modality and 24 teams in the team competition, awarding points for the world ranking of the International Fencing Federation (FIE).\n\nThe Dominican Fencing Federation (Fedomes) is working to reinsert Dominican athletes into the international scene, after overcoming recent challenges.\n\nThe Dominican delegation was led by Glenis Samuel, who led the team in Peru.\n\nParallel to this, Violeta Ram\u00edrez, a key figure in Dominican fencing, competed in the World Cup in Saint-Maur, France, preparing for future events and, especially, for the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.\n\nRam\u00edrez trains in Italy under the guidance of coach Andr\u00e9s Carrillo Ayala, gaining experience against elite athletes.\n\nThe Dominican Fencing Federation reiterates its commitment to the development of high performance and the creation of a competitive team, seeking historic results in next year&#8217;s regional event.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo, RD. \u2013 The Dominican Republic&#8217;s women&#8217;s sabre team continues to climb in performance, focused on the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, after their participation in key international events in Peru and France.
