The first half ended with a 14-6 lead for the home team.\n\nYojavel Brito, Nancy Pe\u00f1a and Mariela Altagracia led the Dominican offense with five goals each. Danilza Liranzo, Florquidea Puello and Olkidia Cuevas also contributed with four goals each.\n\nFor Costa Rica, Valeria Taborda scored four goals, while Diana \u00c1lvarez and Reychel Vargas scored three goals each.\n\n<h2>Puerto Rico Prevails in a Close Match<\/h2>\n\nIn the other match of the day, Puerto Rico took the victory against Cuba with a score of 31-26. The first half was favorable for Puerto Rico, with a result of 17-15.\n\nDelianne Ceballos was the standout figure for Puerto Rico, scoring seven goals.
