SANTO DOMINGO \u2013 Andersson Garc\u00eda, player for the Marineros de Puerto Plata, has been awarded the Player of the Week award in the LNB Super League for the third time this season. The election was close, with Garc\u00eda surpassing Yeison Colom\u00e9 by a narrow margin.<\/p>\n
Garc\u00eda, key in two victories for his team in three games, averaged impressive figures: 15.6 points, 7.3 assists, 12.6 rebounds and 58% field goal efficiency. His overall efficiency was 85.<\/p>\n
Garc\u00eda’s performance earned him 23 of the 70 votes cast by sports journalists covering the league, surpassing Yeison Colom\u00e9, of the Ca\u00f1eros del Este, who obtained 22 votes.<\/p>\n
Colom\u00e9 also had an outstanding performance in three games, with his team achieving two victories. His averages were 25.0 points, 5.3 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 47% field goal efficiency, reaching an efficiency of 60.<\/p>\n
Other players who received votes were: Lazar Lugic (11 votes) from the Ca\u00f1eros, Francis King Fitzgerald (7) and Luismal Ferreiras (3) from the Gigantes Basketball Club, Emmanuel Omogbo (2) from the Marineros, Malachi Richarsdson (1) from the Reales de La Vega and Kevin Obanor (1) from the H\u00e9roes de Moca.<\/p>\n
