This Sunday, Cibao FC and Club Atl\u00e9tico Pantoja will face each other in the second leg of the semifinals of the Dominican Republic Football League. The match, which will be played at 6:00 in the afternoon at the stadium of the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica Madre y Maestra, will define the finalist who will fight for the title in the tournament dedicated to Dr. Jos\u00e9 Rafael Abinader.<\/p>\n
The winner of this series will face the winner of the match between Salcedo FC and Delfines del Este in the final, whose match will be played on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Cibao FC arrives at the match with a slight advantage, after winning 0-1 in the first leg, played at Pantoja’s home.<\/p>\n
The team led by Junior Scheldeur has managed to defeat Pantoja in their last two visits to the Panamericano stadium, a venue where Pantoja used to be unbeatable.<\/p>\n
Cibao FC will advance to the final with a win or a draw. If Pantoja wins by one goal, the series will be decided in extra time and, if the tie persists, in penalties.<\/p>\n
Cibao FC seeks its eighth final in the LDF, while Pantoja goes for its fifth.<\/p>\n
In the other semifinal, Delfines del Este seeks its second final, while Salcedo FC, debuting in this instance, aims to reach the final for the first time.<\/p>\n
