At the international level, he also shone by being the Most Valuable Player of the 2013 World Baseball Classic, leading the Dominican Republic to an undefeated victory in the tournament.\n\nIn Dominican winter baseball, the experienced infielder was also fundamental in the Estrellas Orientales’ championship in 2019, breaking a drought of more than five decades.\n\nAfter a challenging final stage in the Majors, marked by suspensions and poor performance, Cano has revitalized his career since 2024 in Mexico, where he has already won a batting title and two consecutive championships with the Diablos Rojos.\n\n
