MEXICO CITY \u2013 At 43 years old, Dominican Robinson Can\u00f3 remains active in the world of baseball, now as a prominent figure for the Diablos Rojos del M\u00e9xico in the Mexican Baseball League, where he is in his third season.<\/p>\n
With a brilliant career in Major League Baseball, Can\u00f3 accumulated important achievements, including Gold Gloves, multiple All-Star Game appearances, a World Series title, and a Wins Above Replacement (bWAR) of 68.7. At the international level, he also left his mark by being the Most Valuable Player of the 2013 World Baseball Classic, leading the Dominican Republic to conquer the tournament undefeated.<\/p>\n
In Dominican winter baseball, the experienced infielder was also key in the Estrellas Orientales’ championship in 2019, breaking a drought of more than five decades.<\/p>\n
After a complicated final stage in the Majors, marked by suspensions and poor performance, Cano has revitalized his career since 2024 in Mexico, where he already has a batting title and two consecutive championships with the Diablos Rojos.<\/p>\n
