The absence of the player, according to the lawsuit, affected attendance, which remained at around 15,000 people, leading to economic losses.\n\nThe promoter also claims to have been notified of Messi&#8217;s absence a few hours before the event, which impacted the public&#8217;s confidence in subsequent commitments.\n\nRegarding the second friendly against Puerto Rico, VID Music Group alleges additional losses estimated at $1.3 million. The change of venue for the match, originally scheduled in Chicago and moved to Florida, reduced the stadium&#8217;s capacity and limited the time for promotion and ticket sales.\n\nFurthermore, the lawsuit indicates that the AFA allegedly promised the organization of three matches in China as compensation, which, according to the complaint, were never carried out.\n\nThe legal action includes charges of breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and alleged fraudulent inducement, also involving an agent linked to the negotiations.\n\nThe case is ongoing in the Miami-Dade County judicial system.
