However, on this occasion, he was simply outpaced by Antonelli&#8217;s pure speed.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;Come on, man!&#8221;, exclaimed a jubilant Antonelli over the radio.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\nIn Q1, Russell detected that something was not right with his Mercedes.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;Something doesn&#8217;t feel right,&#8221; Russell said over the radio. Later, he added: &#8220;I think we&#8217;re missing something here. We can&#8217;t be this slow. Look at everything.&#8221;<\/p><cite><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nBut Russell couldn&#8217;t catch Antonelli, who secured his second pole in two weeks.\n\nRussell commented on his 19-year-old teammate: &#8220;He did a great job again. It was a really strange session. We were both very fast all weekend. I made some adjustments after this morning&#8217;s practice, and then, at the start of qualifying, I wasn&#8217;t anywhere.&#8221;\n\n&#8220;So we need to understand that because I&#8217;m very lucky to be second again. The last two weekends things have gone wrong in qualifying, but the race is tomorrow and there&#8217;s still a lot at stake.&#8221;\n\nAntonelli expressed: &#8220;I am very happy with the session. It was good, it was clean.
