Kelvin Cruz Kicks Off the Reconstruction of Club La Matica in La Vega<\/h2>\n\nThe Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, has launched the reconstruction of the emblematic Club La Matica in La Vega, with an investment of 32.8 million pesos. This project is part of a comprehensive plan to strengthen sports infrastructure in the province.\n\nThe announcement includes the complete renovation of the facilities, also encompassing the Clubhouse. Cruz emphasized the importance of a comprehensive transformation, ensuring that all necessary aspects will be addressed to achieve a significant change.\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I enter a place, it is to make a transformation that is visible. And if they didn’t include it in the contract, they will have to include it from tomorrow, because we are also going with the Clubhouse; we are going to touch everything that is necessary so that the change is felt,\u201d expressed Cruz.<\/p>\n\nKelvin Cruz, Minister of Sports<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nIt is estimated that the works will be completed within three months, allowing the traditional Superior Basketball Tournament of La Vega to be held at the end of the year in optimal conditions.\n\nThe Club La Matica, recognized as one of the pillars of Dominican basketball, will see its infrastructure renovated, which will boost the sports and social development of the youth from La Vega.\n\n\n

Complementary Projects in La Vega and other provinces<\/h2>\n\n\nDuring his visit, Minister Cruz highlighted other ongoing initiatives that will benefit both La Vega and other locations in the country. Among them, he mentioned the construction of the San Juan baseball stadium and the Olimpio stadium in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds.\n\nIn addition, he reported on the bidding for the Olympic Center, including the sports arena, and the upcoming rehabilitation of the Olympic pool in La Vega, which will begin after Easter.\n\nCruz also highlighted the completion of the Constanza multipurpose facility, as well as the interventions in the roofs of Tireo and Jima.\n\n\n

Authorities assess the impact of the work<\/h2>\n\n\nThe mayor of La Vega, Amparo Custodio; the provincial governor, Luisa de la Mota; and the president of Club La Matica, Julio Burdier, expressed their gratitude to the minister for promoting projects that encourage young people’s access to sports and recreational spaces.\n\n\n

Scope of the reconstruction<\/h2>\n\n\nThe project will cover an area of approximately 2,389 square meters, including the court, stands, service areas, and outdoor spaces.\n\n\n
