The tournament, which bears the name of an emblematic figure of local basketball, will be played for the Seaboard &#8220;Clean Energy&#8221; Cup.\n\nThe opening day promises excitement with a double header that will be held at the sports center of the Mauricio B\u00e1ez club, located in Villa Juana.\n\nThe first match, scheduled for 6:00 PM, will pit the Bameso and Los Gladiadores teams against each other. Following that, at 8:00 PM, it will be the turn of El Caliche and Los Prados.\n\nThe championship is dedicated to Stalin Alc\u00e1ntara, and pays tribute to Jos\u00e9 Heredia Castillo (Corporancito), who in life was a leader of the Mauricio B\u00e1ez club and former president of Abadina.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The president of Abadina, Edwin Castillo, highlighted the participation of 20 teams, which represents great enthusiasm for basketball in the capital.<\/p><cite>Edwin Castillo, President of Abadina<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe 20 participating teams, representing the same number of clubs, have been distributed into four groups for the initial phase of the tournament.\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Group A:<\/strong> Los Pioneros, Rafael Barias, San Carlos, Naco, and La Ci\u00e9nega.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Group B:<\/strong> Reales del Caliche, Los Prados, Bameso, Los Gladiadores, and Ensanche Luper\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Group C:<\/strong> Rafael Le\u00f3nidas Solano, San L\u00e1zaro, Huellas del Siglo, Jardines del Norte, and Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Group D:<\/strong> Rosa Duarte, El Mill\u00f3n, Mauricio B\u00e1ez, Mar\u00eda Auxiliadora, and Honduras del Oeste.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\nThe top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, where they will face each other in cross-matches.
