This decision also included the departure of pitcher Joey Gerber, while pitchers Brandon Waddell and Mike Baumann were reassigned to the minor league camp.\n\nThe depth in the Mets&#8217; infield limited Mauricio&#8217;s opportunities to stay on the big league team.
