Now, a year later, he prepares to treat his predecessors to an unforgettable dinner, showcasing his good taste and elegance.\n\nThe menu for the official dinner of the Masters Club, also known as the Champions Dinner, is almost as spectacular as the game that earned him the green jacket at Augusta National.\n\nThe menu, consisting of 12 dishes from appetizers to desserts, and accompanied by four select wines from the Augusta National cellar, promises to be a first-class culinary experience.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I think it would be presumptuous to have a menu in mind before winning the tournament. But I always thought, if I win the Masters someday, how would I like it to be? What would I like to serve?<\/p><cite>Rory McIlroy<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nMcIlroy spared no expense, enthusiastically taking on the role of host.\n\nThe dinner, held on Tuesday night during Masters week, is a tradition dating back to 1952, started by Ben Hogan. Only Masters champions are invited, in addition to the club chairman, Fred Ridley, as an honorary member.\n\nThis year&#8217;s dinner promises a fusion of unique flavors and experiences.\n\nMcIlroy&#8217;s menu includes a touch of his homeland, Northern Ireland, with bacon-wrapped dates, an appetizer from his mother, and Irish champ as a side dish.\n\nIn addition, he incorporated crispy Vidalia onion rings from the southeastern Georgia region and a peach and ricotta focaccia.\n\n\n<p>As a starter, a yellowfin tuna carpaccio, specially prepared by the Augusta National staff, who traveled to McIlroy&#8217;s favorite restaurant in New York, Le Bernardin, to learn the recipe.<\/p>\n\n\nThe main course offers the choice between wagyu filet mignon or seared salmon, accompanied by saut\u00e9ed Brussels sprouts, carrots glazed with brown butter, and Vidalia onion rings.\n\nTo finish, McIlroy has chosen a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and hot caramel sauce.\n\nThe dinner is completed with a selection of champagne and wine, including a Ch\u00e2teau Lafite Rothschild from Pauillac (1990) and a Ch\u00e2teau d&#8217;Yquem from Sauternes (1989), the latter from McIlroy&#8217;s birth year.\n\nAfter a night of camaraderie and celebration, McIlroy and the other participants will have another practice day before returning to compete for the green jacket.\n\nThe Masters begins on April 9th.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rory McIlroy Reveals the Exquisite Menu for the Masters Champions Dinner After 17 years of searching, Rory McIlroy finally conquered his first green jacket at the Masters.
