No worries.
Brian Daboll

Nabers did not participate in any of the practices open to the media during the team-organized activities (OTA) or the mandatory minicamp. However, he did participate in some walkthrough periods and was seen jogging without limping.

Daboll said earlier this offseason that the toe injury was from last season and has been an issue for him since his days at LSU.

Each person is at a different part of, call it rehabilitation if you want, or prehabilitation. Left tackle Andrew Thomas also didn’t practice, as he recovers from Lisfranc surgery last October. All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence only participated in individual drills throughout the spring.

In a practice earlier this month, the Giants had eight starters (including five on defense) who did not participate in team drills.

The Giants will need a healthy Nabers to fix a problematic offense that finished 31st last season in points per game. It’s important that he works this summer and, perhaps, in the preseason with new starting quarterback Russell Wilson, the 10-time Pro Bowler who has yet to throw to Nabers in live drills.

The hope is that Wilson’s leadership and skills will bring out the best in the Giants’ receivers. His ability to throw the long ball should be especially valuable to the speed group.

Nabers averaged just 4.3 yards after the catch per reception last season, 82nd among all receivers.

Malik Nabers: Ready for Training Camp with the Giants New York Giants star receiver Malik Nabers will not have his status affected this summer by the toe issue that prevented him from participating in the spring, according to coach Brian Daboll.
