CLEARWATER, Florida \u2013 The Philadelphia Phillies have secured the continuity of Venezuelan pitcher Jes\u00fas Luzardo through a five-year, $135 million contract extension.<\/p>\n
Although the club has not yet made the official announcement, sources close to the negotiation confirmed the agreement on Monday.<\/p>\n
This pact will keep the 28-year-old left-handed pitcher in the Philadelphia organization through the 2031 season.<\/p>\n
Before this extension, Luzardo was expected to become a free agent after the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
