CLEARWATER, Florida \u2013 The Philadelphia Phillies have secured the permanence of Venezuelan pitcher Jes\u00fas Luzardo through a five-year, $135 million contract extension.<\/p>\n
The agreement, which is still pending official announcement by the club, would extend the 28-year-old left-hander’s stay with the Philadelphia organization until the 2031 season.<\/p>\n
Before this agreement, Luzardo was scheduled to become a free agent after the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
