Wells, who is emerging as the starting catcher for the national team, has been recognized for his fluency in Spanish and his connection with Dominican culture since childhood.\n\nWith these additions, both players officially join the Dominican Republic national baseball team.\n\nThe delivery of the identity cards took place within the framework of the implementation of the new Dominican identity card, a project of the JCE aimed at strengthening national identity.
