A New Strikeout Record<\/h2>\n\nIn Monday’s 5-2 loss, Alc\u00e1ntara became the second pitcher with the most strikeouts in Marlins history, surpassing Josh Johnson and placing only behind Ricky Nolasco.\n\nWith five strikeouts in 5.0 innings, Alc\u00e1ntara reached 833 strikeouts with the Marlins. This achievement adds to a distinguished career that includes a National League Cy Young Award in 2022, the first for the franchise.\n\n
