Thailand Prepares for Formula 1: Bangkok in Sight for 2028<\/h2>\n\n\nThe Thai cabinet has given the green light to a proposal to host a Formula 1 street race in Bangkok, with the possibility of it being held as early as 2028. This was announced by official sources on Tuesday.\n\nJirayu Houngsub, government spokesperson, reported in a press conference that the initial proposal contemplates the organization of five events between 2028 and 2032. “In the next two or three years, Thailand will have a world-class competition, something we never thought would actually happen in Thailand,” Jirayu stated.\n\nTourism Minister Sorawong Thienthong added that the estimated investment for this initiative is around $1.23 billion.\n\n\n
