Next Tuesday, the 24th, a total of 144 cyclists from 24 national and international teams will meet to compete in this prestigious race.\n\nThe Dominican Cycling Federation, led by Jorge Blas D\u00edaz, is in charge of organizing this large-scale event. Andr\u00e9s Bautista, administrative minister of the presidency, serves as president of the Organizing Committee.\n\nDuring the press conference held in the James Rodr\u00edguez Hall of the Ministry of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, Minister of Sports, along with Bautista and Blas D\u00edaz, offered details about the competition.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;This event is of great value because it has managed to endure and captures the attention of the Dominican people every year,&#8221; Cruz stated.<\/p><cite>Kelvin Cruz, Minister of Sports<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nBautista highlighted the support of President Luis Abinader and emphasized the importance of sports for society.\n\nBlas D\u00edaz recognized the work of the previous presidents of the Dominican Cycling Federation, who have kept the Vuelta Independencia alive.\n\nThe competition will consist of six stages and will feature the participation of 10 national and 14 foreign teams.\n\nAmong those present at the event were Garibaldi Bautista, president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Jos\u00e9 Bautista, former president of Fedoci, and Fernando Geraldino, executive of the Seaboard company, along with other Fedoci executives and former Ministers of Sports.\n\nThe fair is supported by the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency, the Ministry of Sports, Banreservas, Seaboard, and Economic Dining Halls.\n\nAlso collaborating are the Military and Police Commission of the Ministry of Public Works, System 911, Digesset, Politur, and the Dominican Olympic Committee.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participating Teams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inteja Cycling Team<\/li>\n\n<li>Asocisa\/Santiago<\/li>\n\n<li>San Juan de la Maguana<\/li>\n\n<li>San Francisco de Macor\u00eds<\/li>\n\n<li>Team La Romana<\/li>\n\n<li>Club F\u00e9nix<\/li>\n\n<li>Verrazano\/Santiago<\/li>\n\n<li>El Boro Cycling Team<\/li>\n\n<li>R 2 R Cycling Team<\/li>\n\n<li>Asocipe\/Moca<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The foreign teams are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CAMA CCD (Guadalupe)<\/li>\n\n<li>Pegasus Texas (USA)<\/li>\n\n<li>Esparza Training (Mexico)<\/li>\n\n<li>Team JCO (San Martin)<\/li>\n\n<li>Team Medell\u00edn (Colombia)<\/li>\n\n<li>City Bikes Miami (USA)<\/li>\n\n<li>Or\u00edgenes Coffee-HYF (Colombia)<\/li>\n\n<li>Arenas Tlas (Mexico)<\/li>\n\n<li>Puerto Rico Selection<\/li>\n\n<li>Hino One (Guatemala)<\/li>\n\n<li>Cura\u00e7ao Selection<\/li>\n\n<li>L391ON Los Angeles (USA)<\/li>\n\n<li>Team Madras Cycling (Guadalupe)<\/li>\n\n<li>Panama Selection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stage Details<\/h2>\n\n\nThe first stage, scheduled for Tuesday 24th, will cover 117 kilometers on the Santo Domingo-San Pedro de Macor\u00eds-La Romana route. All departures are scheduled for 9:00 in the morning.\n\nOn Wednesday 25th, the second stage, of 153 kilometers, will include Santo Domingo-Ban\u00ed, Circunvalaci\u00f3n, Santo Domingo.\n\nOn Thursday 26th, stage 3 will take the cyclists from Santo Domingo to Rancho Arriba, San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa, with a distance of 158 kilometers.\n\nOn Friday the 27th, a closed circuit will be held in Mirador Sur Park, with a distance of 140 kilometers.\n\nThe penultimate stage, on Saturday 28th, will cover Santo Domingo-Circunvalaci\u00f3n Santo Domingo Norte, with 138 kilometers.\n\nThe Dominican tour will conclude on Sunday, March 1st with a circuit in the monumental area in Santiago.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Independence Cycling Tour: 144 Cyclists Ready for Action SANTO DOMINGO &#8211; The 47th edition of the Vuelta Cicl\u00edstica Independencia Nacional is about to begin.
