The event, which promises strong emotions, will start on Tuesday 24th with the participation of 144 cyclists representing 24 teams, both national and international.\n\nThe Dominican Cycling Federation, headed by its president, Jorge Blas D\u00edaz, is in charge of organizing this prestigious competition. Andr\u00e9s Bautista, administrative minister of the presidency, serves as president of the Organizing Committee, ensuring governmental support for the event.\n\nKelvin Cruz, Minister of Sports, along with Bautista and Blas D\u00edaz, led the press conference where the details of the competition were revealed. The meeting took place in the James Rodr\u00edguez Hall of the Ministry of Sports.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>This event holds great value because it has managed to endure and each year captures the attention of the Dominican people.<\/p><cite>Kelvin Cruz, Minister of Sports<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nBautista highlighted the support of President Luis Abinader and affirmed the continuous commitment to sports, recognizing its positive impact on society.\n\nBlas D\u00edaz praised the perseverance of the former presidents of the Dominican Cycling Federation, who have kept the Vuelta Independencia afloat over the years.\n\nThe competition will take place in six stages, with the participation of 10 national teams and 14 foreign teams.\n\nGaribaldi Bautista, president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Jos\u00e9 Bautista, former president of Fedoci, and Fernando Geraldino, executive of the company Seaboard, were present at the event, along with other Fedoci executives and former Ministers of Sports.\n\nThe contest is backed by the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency, the Ministry of Sports, Banreservas, Seaboard, and Economic Dining Halls.\n\nIn addition, the sporting event will receive support and collaboration from the Military and Police Commission of the Ministry of Public Works, System 911, Digesset, Politur, and the Dominican Olympic Committee.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participating Teams<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul><li>Inteja Cycling Team<\/li><li>Asocisa\/Santiago<\/li><li>San Juan de la Maguana<\/li><li>San Francisco de Macor\u00eds<\/li><li>Team La Romana<\/li><li>Club F\u00e9nix<\/li><li>Verrazano\/Santiago<\/li><li>El Boro Cycling Team<\/li><li>R 2 R Cycling Team<\/li><li>Asocipe\/Moca<\/li><\/ul>\n\nThe foreign teams that will compete are:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>CCD BED (Guadalupe)<\/li><li>Pegasus Texas (USA)<\/li><li>Esparza Training (Mexico)<\/li><li>Team JCO (San Martin)<\/li><li>Team Medell\u00edn (Colombia)<\/li><li>City Bikes Miami (USA)<\/li><li>Or\u00edgenes Coffee-HYF (Colombia)<\/li><li>Arenas Tlas (Mexico)<\/li><li>Puerto Rico National Team<\/li><li>Hino One (Guatemala)<\/li><li>Cura\u00e7ao National Team<\/li><li>L391ON Los Angeles (USA)<\/li><li>Team Madras Cycling (Guadalupe)<\/li><li>Panama National Team<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stage Details<\/h2>\n\n\nThe first stage, scheduled for Tuesday 24th, will cover 117 kilometers on the Santo Domingo-San Pedro de Macor\u00eds-La Romana route. All stages will begin at 9:00 in the morning.\n\nOn Wednesday 25th, the second stage, with a distance of 153 kilometers, will include the Santo Domingo-Ban\u00ed route, including the Ring Road, and finishing in Santo Domingo.\n\nThe third stage, on Thursday 26th, will take the cyclists from Santo Domingo to Rancho Arriba, San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa, with a route of 158 kilometers.\n\nOn Friday 27th, a closed circuit will be held in Mirador Sur Park, with a distance of 140 kilometers.\n\nThe penultimate stage, on Saturday 28th, will start from Santo Domingo and will cover the Circunvalaci\u00f3n Santo Domingo Norte, with a route of 138 kilometers.\n\nThe Dominican tour will conclude on Sunday, March 1st with a circuit in the monumental area of Santiago.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SANTO DOMINGO &#8211; The 47th edition of the Vuelta Cicl\u00edstica Independencia Nacional is about to begin.
