National Sports Federations Reaffirm Commitment to the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games<\/h2>\n\n\nSanto Domingo \u2013 The National Sports Federations have ratified their firm commitment to the success of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Sports Games Santo Domingo 2026.\n\nNearly 20 organizations affiliated with the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) have highlighted that their directives are working hard to collaborate with the successful celebration of the games. This includes everything from the organization of the event to the technical, organizational, and competitive aspects.\n\nDuring a meeting with the media at the Sebel\u00e9n Bowling Center, the federations stated that they are actively collaborating with the Organizing Committee, led by journalist Jos\u00e9 P. Monegro, in all aspects related to the event, which will take place from July 24 to August 8 in the Primada de Am\u00e9rica.\n\n\n

“Our only mission is for the Dominican Republic to emerge victorious from this challenge, organizing and celebrating Games that are up to the circumstances, as the authorities and sports leadership have done every time we host a multi-sport festival.”<\/p>\n\nFrancis Soto and Rub\u00e9n Garc\u00eda, presidents of the Bowling and Boxing Federations<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nAmong those present were Francis Soto and Rub\u00e9n Garc\u00eda, presidents of the Bowling and Boxing federations, along with Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ramos, Antonio Acosta, Edwin Rodr\u00edguez, Gilberto Garc\u00eda, Radam\u00e9s Tavares and Jos\u00e9 Luis Ram\u00edrez, as well as Gerardo Suero Corres and Nelson Ram\u00edrez, representatives of the Athletics and Volleyball federations.\n\nThe undersigned federations, in addition to bowling and boxing, include Weightlifting, Judo, Athletics, Karate, Volleyball, Equestrian, Swimming, Olympic Wrestling and Gymnastics, among others.\n\nIn the document, the federations highlighted the constant support of the Ministry of Sports, through its minister Kelvin Cruz, with the timely delivery of resources for the preparation of the sports disciplines that will represent the Dominican Republic.\n\nThey also expressed that the National Sports Federations, along with their athletes, coaches, and technical staff, are the cornerstone of the Dominican sports movement, and that their work has been crucial in achieving outstanding results in previous international events where the Dominican Republic has been the host.\n\nThey also highlighted the importance of the role of sports leadership, from the presidents of the federations to the leaders of the associations that make up each federative entity.\n\nThey reaffirmed their confidence that, thanks to the joint work between sports institutions, the support of the State and the Organizing Committee, “the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American Games will be a regional model in organization, competitiveness and, above all, a source of national pride.”\n\nFinally, they stated that for the Dominican Republic it will be a great honor to organize the centenary edition of the Central American Games, supported by Centro Caribe Sports (formerly Odecabe), an organization chaired by the Dominican Luis Mej\u00eda Oviedo.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
