The decision comes after Merrill sustained a concussion during Saturday night&#8217;s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.\n\nThe incident occurred in the seventh inning, while Merrill was trying to steal a base. He was hit in the helmet by Arizona&#8217;s second baseman, Ketel Marte, during his headfirst slide. Merrill remained on the ground for several minutes before leaving the field.
