The incident resulted in the destruction of the front wing and the left tire of Norris&#8217;s single-seater.\n\nThe accident forced Norris&#8217;s retirement from the race, which was ultimately won by George Russell, who started from pole position. The competition concluded under the safety car.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m sorry. It&#8217;s all my fault. My mistake.
