The event, which will be held from the 16th to the 22nd of this month, will bring together boxers from ten nations in the indoor arena of the popular Los Pepines sector.\n\nThe event is supported by the Mayor&#8217;s Office of Santiago, headed by Ulises Rodr\u00edguez, and the Ministry of Sports, led by engineer Kelvin Cruz. The organization is in charge of the Santiago Boxing Association, chaired by Miguel Mart\u00ednez, along with a Management Committee and with the endorsement of the Dominican Boxing Federation, led by Rub\u00e9n Garc\u00eda.\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cuba<\/li>\n<li>United States<\/li>\n<li>France<\/li>\n<li>Panama<\/li>\n<li>Bahamas<\/li>\n<li>Puerto Rico<\/li>\n<li>Ecuador<\/li>\n<li>Honduras<\/li>\n<li>Trinidad &amp; Tobago<\/li>\n<li>Dominican Republic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\nThe Dominican Republic, as the host country, will compete with its National Team and the Santiago team, the traditional venue for this tournament for 45 years. The International Independence Boxing Cup will include competitions in both the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s divisions.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>Miguel Mart\u00ednez, from the Santiago Boxing Association, and Pappy P\u00e9rez, from the Management Committee, highlighted the interest of the participating delegations in putting on an outstanding performance.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Miguel Mart\u00ednez and Pappy P\u00e9rez<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThis tournament will serve as an important preparation platform for the upcoming Central American and Caribbean Games, Santo Domingo 2026, which will be held in Dominican territory.
