His teammate, Lando Norris, is in seventh position and is 10 points behind in the standings after nine of 24 races.\n\nGeorge Russell, from Mercedes, secured the <em>pole position<\/em>. Max Verstappen, from Red Bull and winner of the last three editions, will accompany him on the front row, repeating the 2024 classification at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Our pace on race days is generally our strong point.
