The competition brought together more than 200 players from various regions of the country, marking a milestone in the promotion of this discipline.\n\nThe event was organized by a team dedicated to the development of pickleball, led by Luis Veras, Juan Osvaldo Su\u00e1rez, Quilvio Hern\u00e1ndez, Mirtha De Marchena, Yhammina Dickson, Yannel Dickson, and Carolina Vi\u00f1as. Their teamwork ensured a high-quality sporting experience.\n\nThe opening ceremony was attended by Elvis Duarte, President of the Dominican Pickleball Federation, and Mr. Julio C\u00e9sar Mart\u00ednez, President of the Pickleball Association. Both highlighted the importance of these types of events for the growth of pickleball nationwide.\n\nThe tournament attracted athletes and fans from Sos\u00faa, Las Terrenas, Punta Cana, Santiago and Santo Domingo, demonstrating the national reach of pickleball. 18 divisions were contested, both men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s, and a team modality with five participating teams, adding excitement to the competition.
