Guadalajara, Mexico. \u2013 In a display of dominance on the mound, Enny Romero led the Leones del Escogido, representatives of the Dominican Republic, to a victory over the Cangrejeros de Santurce of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean Series Jalisco 2026. The final score was 5-3, thus consolidating the undefeated status of the Dominican team.<\/p>\n
The left-handed Romero had an outstanding performance, allowing only three hits in five innings of work. This performance was key to securing the Dominicans’ second victory in the tournament, who now lead the standings with a 2-0 record. For their part, Puerto Rico has a 1-1 record.<\/p>\n
The Leones del Escogido’s offensive set the tone from the start of the game, scoring three runs in the first inning against starting pitcher Daryl Thompson.<\/p>\n
Gustavo N\u00fa\u00f1ez started the attack with a single and a stolen base, followed by a walk to S\u00f3crates Brito. Junior Lake drove in the first run with a single to left field.
