The initiative, aimed at children between 8 and 10 years old, is part of an ambitious training and development plan.\n\nThe event, held at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, brought together nearly 300 children from the National District and Santo Domingo province. The participants enjoyed an educational and recreational day, which combined technical teachings, motivation, and direct contact with figures from professional baseball.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>\u201cWe are very happy to share with you and to have these baseball figures who help us sow values and dreams in our children,\u201d expressed Juan N\u00fa\u00f1ez, president of FEDOM.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Juan N\u00fa\u00f1ez, president of FEDOM<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nCristian Reyes, MLB director in the Dominican Republic, highlighted the importance of collective commitment for the development of grassroots baseball. &#8220;We thank both the children and the players for dedicating their time and effort. They will be the ones who represent our country in the future,&#8221; he pointed out.\n\nNelson Cruz, general manager of the Dominican team for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, encouraged the participants to enjoy the experience and set ambitious goals. &#8220;This space is for you. Hopefully, the next major leaguers will come out of here and, when they achieve it, they will return to support other children as is being done today,&#8221; he indicated.\n\nThe presence of Emilio Bonifacio, captain of the Tigres del Licey, generated great enthusiasm among the children. The veteran player urged them to value the opportunity and to take advantage of each lesson received during the clinic.\n\nThe Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, valued the social impact of the initiative and the union of efforts between institutions. &#8220;This alliance between FEDOM, MLB and the Classic management sends a positive message to the country.
