The event was attended by students from the Gregorio Luper\u00f3n School and the San Jos\u00e9 Parochial Educational Center.\n\nThe ceremony took place in the Juan Ulises Garc\u00eda Saleta Hall of the COD, and included a floral offering at the bust of Juan Pablo Duarte, located on the front esplanade of the Olympic organization.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>Engineer Garibaldy Bautista, president of the COD, interacted with the students and explained the importance of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 for the country.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Garibaldy Bautista, President of the COD<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nBautista also shared details about the history of the COD and its role in organizing Dominican sports delegations in international events of the Olympic cycle.\n\nEngineer Pedro Julio Quezada, director of the Olympic Academy, highlighted the presence of the students and emphasized values as fundamental to continue Duarte&#8217;s legacy.\n\nThe students of the San Jos\u00e9 Parochial Educational Center, led by the licensed \u00c1ngela Pujols, presented a dramatization entitled \u201cDuarte Inmortal.\u201d\n\nThe floral offering was enlivened by the Marching Band of the General Gregorio Luper\u00f3n School, under the direction of the physical education teacher Enemencio Rosario, with the participation of two flag bearers from the educational center.\n\nThe offering was led by engineer Garibaldy Bautista, accompanied by engineer Pedro Julio Quezada and Pedro Almonte.\n\nIn addition, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Tejeda and Pedro Almonte, professors from the Olympic Academy, and Luis Morillo, a graduate of the Sports Administration courses, were present.\n\nThe students toured the facilities of the Olympic Committee, where they received information about the operation of the different departments.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COD Pays Tribute to Duarte and Celebrates its 80th Anniversary The Dominican Olympic Committee (COD), through its Olympic Academy, commemorated the 213th anniversary of the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte and celebrated the 80th anniversary of its foundation.
