Eloy Jim\u00e9nez wins the “Juancito Sport Most Valuable Player” award of the Round Robin<\/h2>\n\nThe Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), along with Juancito Sport, awarded the “Most Valuable Player Juancito Sport” award to Eloy Jim\u00e9nez, of the Toros del Este, after his outstanding performance in the Round Robin.\n\nThe recognition was based on the results of the vote held by the national sports press, using a weighted scoring system.\n\nDuring the ceremony, Jim\u00e9nez received a trophy and a financial incentive, as a sign of recognition for his outstanding performance in the semifinal stage of the championship dedicated to Don Juan Marichal.\n\nShantal Disla, Brand Director of LIDOM, and Angelo Rodr\u00edguez, Marketing Manager of Juancito Sport, were in charge of presenting the award. Jim\u00e9nez was accompanied by Jorge Sturla, executive vice president of the Toros del Este, and Teoscar Hern\u00e1ndez, Major League baseball player and member of the taurine organization.\n\n\n

Micheli stadium in La Romana.\n\nJim\u00e9nez led the voting by accumulating 247 points, the result of 54 votes, including 21 first-place votes. The starter participated in all 18 games of the Round Robin, being a key piece in the Toros’ offense.\n\nIn the semifinal phase, the right-handed batter recorded a .278 average, a .312 on-base percentage, and a .458 slugging percentage, for an OPS of .770. In 77 plate appearances, he hit 20 hits, including 10 doubles and a home run, accumulating 33 bases, as well as 16 RBIs and nine runs scored, which was fundamental for the Toros’ qualification to the Final Series.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
