Real Madrid Sacks Xabi Alonso and Appoints Arbeloa<\/h2>\n\n\nReal Madrid has made a transcendental decision following its recent defeat in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona. Xabi Alonso has been relieved of his position as first-team coach.\n\nThe club has chosen to appoint \u00c1lvaro Arbeloa, who until now coached Real Madrid Castilla, to take the reins of the team.\n\n\u201cBy mutual agreement\u201d with the coach \u201cit has been decided to end his time as coach of the first team\u201d.\nReal Madrid\n\nThe club expressed its gratitude and admiration for Xabi Alonso, highlighting his legacy in the institution.\n\n\n

His debut was with a draw, and although he achieved victories, the team fell in the semifinals.\n\nIn the current season, the team was in second position in LaLiga EA Sports, qualified for the Champions League and in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey. The defeat in the Spanish Super Cup against Barcelona was the trigger for his departure.\n\nIn total, Xabi Alonso managed Real Madrid in 34 matches, with a record of 24 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses.\n\n\n

Arbeloa Takes Charge<\/h2>\n\n\n\u00c1lvaro Arbeloa, coming from Castilla, has been appointed as the new coach of the first team.\n\nArbeloa has been in charge of Castilla since June 2025, succeeding Ra\u00fal Gonz\u00e1lez.
