In an interview on the Cracks Podcast<\/em>, P\u00e9rez described this stage as “the most difficult job” of his career.\n\nP\u00e9rez explained that, although he was part of one of the most competitive teams, the project’s focus was clearly on Verstappen, which generated constant pressure. The Mexican pointed out that he was aware of this dynamic from the beginning.\n\n\n

The team was built around Max. From the beginning I was aware of it. If I was faster, it became a problem and the atmosphere became very tense.<\/p>Sergio “Checo” P\u00e9rez<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe driver detailed that he faced complex situations, even when he managed to match or surpass the pace of his teammate.
